Our world travel
Hi, Thank you for taking the time reading this blog.
Yes, me and my wife took a sabbatical from work for an entire year to travel the world along with our son. Because he is 3 years his school attendance won’t be compulsory and therefore the perfect time to go now.
My wife and I love to travel, see the world, experience the different cultures, taste food, specially the sweet ones. We always talk about a world travel and dreamed of which country we would travel to and so on. But it never took us to the point just to take action and go for it. Then something tragic happened. My father passed away in 2019 at the age of 64. It devastated us. My mom became even more important to me and my siblings, so there was no way in hell I was going to leave her to travel for an entire year. At that point, we weren’t even thinking about traveling this long. But then, in 2020, my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. Life shook us again. Breast cancer has the most studies, and the doctors were very positive that this was curable. We never found out because something happened, which was very rare and we lost her in 2021. We took another hit from life and digged deep to find out that life is not all about working but being there for each other, kindness, loving and real quality time with family, relatives, acquaintances and meeting new people. My personal blog will cover the pain and growth I went through to be brave enough traveling the world. So, you can guess by now what we’re going to do next.
Travel the world, baby!!
We will travel to: Mexico, United States of America (West), Canada, Turkiye, Japan, New Zealand, Australia and if there is any budget left Tanzania.
Our journey starts on April 6th 2023. We will head to Cancun, Mexico, for approximately 3 weeks. On the 27th will head to San Francisco, USA, and take a rental Camper (Motorhome) to drive from San Francisco to Los Angeles via Route 1, Pacific Highway known for its breathtaking coastline. From there, work our way up north through the Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, and head to Calgary, Canada. We’ll be driving back west towards Vancouver Island and head back to Seattle, USA, stay a couple of days there and take a plane to Turkiye. In Turkiye we own a house so we can stay there and attend my little brother’s wedding and spend some quality time with the family there. Japan will follow after 4 weeks in Turkiye. What happens after Japan we don’t know yet. Do you want to find out? Take the time to sign up to the Worldtravelers Newsletter.
Now you know what the plan is. We made an Instagram profile called worldtravelers_dji (DJI = Dogac (me), James (our son), Iris (my wife)). Instragram.com/worldtravelers_dji this gallery is embedded in the blog so you don’t have to keep watching two places. The blog will have extra personal content.
