Do you know that feeling? Being somewhere but already thinking about what comes next?

At every kick-off presentation, you hear it: “Where are we now? Where do we want to go? Where did we come from?” Logical. You need to know where you start (IST) and where you want to end up (SOL). But somewhere in between those two lies life itself.

Think about a vacation. You book a trip, get excited about the destination, and when you finally arrive… you’re already thinking about what’s next. The next place, the next experience. Only when you’re back home, scrolling through your photos, do you realize: did I really enjoy the moment?

Work isn’t any different. Days rush by in a blur of meetings, deadlines, and new projects. There’s always something to do, always something pulling you forward. And it never stops. In fact, it only seems to be speeding up.

But in all that chaos, you have accomplished something. You contributed. You made progress. Big or small, it matters. But do you ever pause to acknowledge it?

Try it. Not later. Not in hindsight. But now.

In the shower, in the car, during a walk. Say it out loud. Recognize what you’ve done. Be proud of it. I need to remind myself of this too. Sometimes, I forget what I’ve contributed—and that eats away at confidence.

Because in all this motion, there is one thing you can always do: breathe.

So take a deep breath. Refocus. You are here, now. And that is enough.
